Senator Wendy Davis is not just a women’s rights supporter, she is also an advocate for the community of persons with disabilities in Texas. She set up an outreach project last June (2012) to:
(1) learn more about the quality of life barriers experienced by persons with disabilities and their families, including the deaf and hard of hearing community and veterans with disabilities, and
(2) to determine potential legislation that could address those barriers.
When Wendy started the outreach she offered her message in sign language with closed caption and voice over via youtube.
Way to go. Stand up for all of us 🙂
