Gays in the Russian Federation not persecuted?

Gays in the Russian Federation not persecuted?

“At this stage people who are homosexuals are not being prosecuted in Russia, so there is no ground for asylum in the Netherlands.”

Notice the ‘at this stage.’ That is a lawyerly answer. As soon as the next Amnesty Rapport comes out or one from Human RIghts’ Watch, we will be in the middle of the next stage. A rapport from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs will do as well.

Don’t forget the European Court of Human RIghts just reprimanded the Netherlands for not accepting gay refugees from the African continent. The refugees in question have to be admitted to the Netherlands after this decision.
